China stocks close lower Monday

Chinese shares close lower Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.90 percent, or 20.78 points, to end at 2,285.78.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.77 percent, or 75.28 points, to end at 9,710.91.
